Moonsinger – Newmanoid Models

A great sculpture, I think. I was thrilled when I managed to get a half built version from a British dealer at a good price. The photo doesn’t do it justice or my painstaking airbrushed skin tones (alas) which I was quite proud of. I used quite a lot of purple to blend the fur with skin – which was the challenge the kit presented – in an almost negroid effect. It came off though. A difficult kit to photograph – he just looks goofy in some pictures – but great to paint. I did the base with a wash of muddy green acrylic which worked so well that it hardly needed much drybrushing
